Project Life Creative Team Details: January

If you are visiting from Becky welcome!  Being a part of the Project Life Creative Team has been a fantastic way to start 2016.  I hope you find something on my website that inspires you to try  to photograph your family in a new way or create something new in your Project Life album.  If you are interested in reading about my title pages see this Project Life Title Pages postMRoseJan1

I routinely try to capture my children’s rooms as they are right now.  The little things they treasure are usually well represented in their rooms and each room is always full of personality.  Seeing each girl’s stack of recently checked out library books also is a glimpse of what they are interested in right now.  MRoseJan2

Last year I decided to be more flexible with my project life and instead of creating a weekly layout I only marked the months.  This actually resulted in way more than 365 photos, so I am returning to a traditional 365 project again this year.  However, I loved using the Project Life Color Magic Cards by Heidi Swapp and coloring or painting them each month.  It was a fun way to add a little artistic creativity and of course, my girls always love it when we paint!

I find that my favorite pages are really simplistic.  I like sticking with one edition.  For example on the page below, I chose two journaling cards from the Midnight edition to alternate the text.  I also cropped a title card with just the dates, so I could include an extra picture.  Keeping it simple and focusing on photos I love is what Project Life is all about for me.

Although, I am on the Creative Team for the physical Project Life kits, I use the app and do some digital Project Life as well.  This post about using the app is one of my favorite ways to include my camera phone pictures in you physical PL album via the Project Life app.

Please check out my Project Life tab for a gallery of Project Life images.
